Contour Group began when Janice Hilton, already running her own beauty salon, watched more and more salons adding laser and non-surgical devices to their treatment menus. Wanting to do the same, she ran into the barrier every owner runs into: the machines that delivered real results carried a price tag that put them out of reach, and the cheaper alternatives were neither effective nor reliable enough to build a business on.
Having trained practitioners on laser and beauty devices across the UK and Europe for other machine suppliers, and having sold devices at the UK’s largest annual beauty shows, she already knew the market from the inside. She bought machines for her own clinic first and saw at first hand how profitable device treatments can be for a salon that invests properly.
Contour Group grew out of exactly that: research the market, source machines that are genuinely effective and reliable, and price them so the numbers work for the owner buying them, without compromising on quality, efficiency or results for their clients.
Machines are researched against what owners actually need, then run in a working clinic before we will put our name to them. If it does not hold up in a real treatment room, it does not join the range.
We price on consultation because every salon is different, and we arrange finance through an FCA-regulated partner when spreading the cost makes sense. We would rather tell you the timing is wrong than sell you the wrong machine.

An independent CQC consultant since 2017, she advises clinics across the UK on laser safety, risk assessments and safety protocols — and she is one of the few women practising as an LPA in the UK.
