Near-infrared laser light is absorbed by the melanin in the hair follicle. Each pulse lasts a fraction of a second — long enough to disable the follicle while leaving the surrounding tissue alone, with TEC contact cooling keeping the skin surface comfortable.
755nm Alexandrite for fine, lighter hair on fair skin. 808nm as the versatile classic diode. 940nm penetrating deeper for darker tones and deep-rooted hair. 1064nm Nd:YAG for the darkest and tanned skin types.
